Wind Data Not Working

I just got the s70 & coming from the s62. I'm having issues with the wind direction not working within playing golf. I've uninstalled the app & allowing all permissions. I try to open & start round through the garmin golf app & it still doesn't sync it all up to work properly. Any suggestions? Thanks

Update as of August 30, 2023:

Garmin Golf app version 2.14 now available for both AndroidOS & iOS.

Check the App Store/Play Store to ensure the update is installed.

This should help to resolve concern…

FIXED - REPORTING MY FINDING

[You do not need to be on a course to test. You can test at home, skip the GPS and select a course manually]

I did have it working via another mobile but that was because it was a fresh install on that phone.

I uninstalled the Garmin Golf App and reinstalled it as you suggested.

Yes, it now works…

Thank you. I would have never figured out why this was not working because I already gave it all permissions. Reinstalling worked.

So I got mine working went golfing last weekend with my app on and phone in my pocket. It did not work but maybe its because I started the round on my watch before opening the app.

Start a new game on your watch.
If the app on your phone does not open automatically, open it. The app will synch with the watch.
Choose "resume game"
On the phone, you will see a notification icon that looks like a ball on a tee.

If you open the app first, then start the game on the watch, you will see a message "Live scoring is on. Check the Garmin Golf app for your latest standings".

This is my experience.

PS: I suppose that the watch is already synchronize with Garmin app using Bluetooth.

It's fine. Even if you start a game first on your watch and did not automatically synch with the phone, you an still open the Garmin Golf App on your phone, wait for the phone to be in synch and choose 'Resume Game" on the phone.

Hi I just bought S70 and it has s.w 2.16 version. But when I check the play like distance on S70, it does not pick up the wind factor. Can you tell me why?

Do you have the garmin app and garmin golf app turned open on your phone prior to starting a round?

That's the only way I get wind data.

Same. Did the uninstall and reinstall. S23 + here. Will not sync weather data at all.
