Putting stats manually marking putt

Having confusion with why ct10 sensors are needed for putting stats.

if I can manually mark my putt and the hole location, shouldn’t that be enough for putting stats?

I find manually marking the putts to be more efficient anyway as the ct10 sensors don’t pick up on shorter putts.

also, what’s the point of being able to mark the flag from standing next to it with a double click if it doesn’t save after the round. What would people use the double tap feature for if not for saving where the pin is for stats

  • My understanding based on Garmin posts in these forums. CT10 on a putter is required to get short game and putting statistics. Marking putts or even pin location on your watch is not used in statistical calculations.

What is the point or marking putts/pin on your watch? Seems like for now, no point. No idea why Garmin added that feature and did nothing with it.

Maybe they can post and explain that.
