Watch not tracking shots or asking which club was used

My watch use to track shots and ask me which club I used. It no longer does that. It worked for about 15 rounds but has now stopped tracking. Is it a defect ? When I played yesterday it tracked one shot all round. It happens when I start on the first tee or when I start somewhere else on the course

Please make sure the watch is up to date with Garmin Express. In similar instances, resetting the watch resolves the issue.

Press MENU button > Select Settings > System > Reset > Reset Default…

Please make sure the watch is up to date with Garmin Express. In similar instances, resetting the watch resolves the issue.

Press MENU button > Select Settings > System > Reset > Reset Default Settings

I have the app on my I phone. I do not have express. Or is it the same thing? My watch says the systems are updated

I have reset it twice. Setup error is the message. Now it’s stuck
