Wind issue

I have testée for thé First Time my 62 this morning. Everything fine less the wind data information (because of lack of connection with garmin golf, according to my Watch). Thé connection was good, so i don t understand what was thé issue

  • That is how I would read it.

  • The solution (provided by the R&A) :

    (2) Information on Wind and Other Weather Conditions.

    • Allowed.
      • Getting any type of weather information (including wind speed) that is available from weather forecasts, or
      • Measuring temperature and humidity at the course.
    • Not Allowed.
      • Measuring wind speed at the course, or
      • Using an artificial object to get other wind-related information (such as using powder to assess wind direction).

    So, i finally think wind reading is compliant because coming from weather forecasts.

  • Tried it this weekend. The Garmin Golf app needs to be running on your phone during the round. The watch then shows wind information even when in tournament mode.

    Hi I’ve just received the S62 and I’m having the same problems I’ve updated to the 2.40 version and the wind feature is not working, I’ve played two rounds and the yards never went down once only showed the start yards this is very disappointing from a £499 watch.

    Good morning, getting a little concerned with this New  S62 watch now so last night I did the update to 2.40 I also reinstall the connect app and golf app, as I’m in the British army out In Kenya we had PT this morning so I fort I would try the run feature as i was getting ready I turned on the the run feature and all it says is wait for gps this has been going for over a hour now and now it’s making me re think will it go *** up on the golf course again, as I’m in Kenya I can’t send it back that easy as it took a month for it to arrive I am really disappointed with this product could you please look into this.

    Please leave the Golf APP open while Golfing to receive the wind data to your Approach S62 and have the Connect Mobile APP closed.
