Missing a Scorecard

I had that issue where post round, the app prompted me to continue an ongoing round (i had already finished it on my watch), and hit discard, as you otherwise couldn't proceed.

I have two .fit files. Is there anyway to get my shot data and scorecard on the Garmin Golf app? The activity shows in Garmin Connect, but no scorecard on Garmin Golf.

  • The scorecard showing in the Garmin Golf app, is the live scoring prompt. The scorecard is recorded and saved on the watch, which then syncs over the file to the Garmin Golf app.

If you have the watch connected to a home computer, feel free to copy both of the .FIT files showing the scorecards folder > Then you can sync the watch through the Garmin Express program to your account. After syncing, the scorecard with the shot data showing on it, along with the other metrics is the correct scorecard. Feel free to dismiss, or discard the round prompt showing in the Garmin Golf app.

To prevent the prompt for the live scorecard from appearing in the Garmin Golf app, make sure to only start the round directly from the watch, and do not select the "Start Round" prompt within the Garmin Golf app, as the round is entirely recorded through the watch, has pre-loaded golf course maps, and does not require a connection to your smartphone to get distances...or find courses.

Articles regarding live scoring through the Garmin Golf app linked below for reference if needed:

  • Just FYI, I never once prompted the app for the live scorecard. The issue would always occur after the round was started AND finished from the watch upon opening the mobile app.

I've reported it several times, I think it may have been resolved finally.

For this issue however, I've moved both .FIT files into the watch's scorecard folder, synced through Garmin express, and it still doesn't show in the Garmin Golf app or on the web.

See snipped below (June 11 files):

I also tried uploading via web, and it doesn't appear to work there either:

    Thoughts?

  • The second .FIT file created 6/11 is the actual scorecard with the correct file name labeling. The first file showing created on the same day is formatted with the date in the title, and would not be the scorecard synced over from the watch during a round.

I recommend removing the file at the top titled, "2023-06-11-12-02-56.fit". Then see if the other 8/11 D6BC0254.fit file syncs to your account.

  • There may have been an issue with that .FIT file for some reason causing it to not transfer. If you are exporting the .FIT file manually and it is still not transferring, then that specific scorecard is not able to be recovered.

Scorecards since then transferring, it should not have the issue going forward. For further support or questions, you can always contact Garmin Support for assistance as well.
