Distance wrong on approach s60.

I have had measurements done by the course maintenance staff and fellow golfers using other garmin golf gps, and none ever agree with the distance from my fairway shot to the centre of the green. It reads on average 15 yards shorter. What can I do to get the right distance? For the cost of the s60 it should be much more accurate. May be you should send me a new GPS that shows the correct distance?????

You can have the settings measure in meters and not yards. All settings have to be the same. I find mine us not very accurate no matter what.

Have the same problem on a couple of holes on my local course. Contacted Garmin, no response. 15 yard out on a par 5. Shocking for a £400 pound watch.

hi, I solved the issue, sold it and moved to "shotscope" V3 watch. great company, virtually immediate email replies and help, Garmin has become a drag to deal with. shotscope is dead dead accurate ( ive checked different ways and its always been right) it does not have half the functions of Garmin, but has the hazards, tags on every grip to analyse and download to app or desktop, well worth a try, and its £179.00

Wise man. I am in my third season with this watch and never had a proper fix. Thankfully I never sold my Skycaddie. It is bang on all he time. Worth the annual fee. It's too bad really because the S60 has a lot of great features but falls short on the most important one. It is now my Stat tracker and score keeper.

They keep asking the same questions as previously posted on this forum, I actually think they are looking at the this forum. I have even requested them why no answer to the same issue being reported for over a 12 month. I do believe Garmin has an problem they can't fix and will not admit it hence they no fix problem posted by them. The watch for measuring distance is not fit for purpose and Garmin should do the right thing and refund everyone or upgrade them Free of Charge to a model that works with accuracy of distance.

Compared my S60 against my friends S62. On one hole, my S60 was 15 yards off!

I had the S40, and that gave accurate distances, ever since I've gotten the S60, I am always hitting short of the green but my distances on the garmin app are in sync with my club distances. Obviously the S60 is giving me shorter distances than actual. Even when I compared it with Grint, the distances are almost 10 to 20yds less on the S60. It's so weird, you'd think the s60 was better than the s40, now I'll have to get that watch again
