Enhanced course view maps not loading

I can’t get enhanced course view to work on S50 despite having a Garmin golf membership. Membership shows up in my profile on the phone, have tried Express to update the watch and still no updated images. Any advice?

  • Ensure the Garmin Golf app is open on your phone with the Approach S50 synced when starting the round of golf on the Approach S50.

    When starting the round on the watch, GPS to fully load vs skipping and then once the watch has acquired satellites, select the course you are playing with the Golf app opened and you will see the prompt on the watch showing enhanced maps downloading in progress. Once the download is completed it will switch your screen on the watch back to selecting the tee box. Then you will see the maps showing the full layout of each hole on-screen. 

    If you continue to have concerns, contact Garmin Support to walk through the process to further determine solutions.

  • Not so far. Apparently it's with their engineers. I have re installed courses and reset the watch all to no success.

    They are replying regularly atm so hopefully some joy soon.

    Those that have contacted Garmin Support to report the issue are added to the ticket for the concern after the info has been gathered from the discussion with you. As our Quality & Engineering team continues to investigate, the issue status is in process of review until further info towards solutions has been determined and made available. 

    There is not a timeline provided for fixes on issues, as any solutions that may require a software update take and care with all users receiving updates containing changes or fixes. You will receive contact from the associate you spoke with in support once we this concern has been resolved. 

    Also Note, I will be updated this post as new information is announced from Garmin as it becomes available in conjunction with the email you will receive from the team you spoke with in Customer Service.
