After update my garmin r50 wont read short putts
Same for me. There are two putting-related issues:
1. When using GSPro, even when i select putter, the Garmin R50 doesn't always go into putting mode with the larger hitting area. I sometimes have to manually click on Send Putter Mode on the connector app.
2. On slow putts, it doesn't read.
For a $5K device, it's pretty sad that Garmin customer support hasn't come to their own forums to acknowledge this new issue.
I am seeing the same thing with GSPro. I can fix it by restarting the R50 and letting it reconnect with GSPro without having to do anything with GSPro so I am not losing the game. A real pain though. Garmin needs to fix this bug. Overall the update is great except for the putting bug.
Back to square one with putting woes. Mine was working and now we are back to day one when I bought it over a year ago. HLA is now the same as day one and short putts under 10’ don’t read on GSPro.
Not sure how the *** this happens. It’s almost like they throw out a beta test to everyone.
I am having the same issue not reading slow ball speed (for short or even long ones with fast greens or downhill greens. I verified that with both HTH and GSPro. It seems that most outs with ball speeds less than 5.0 to 5.5 mph will not track. I also experimented with different lighting and different balls. It’s mostly speed limitation.
I reached out to Garmin support [email protected] and reported the issue. They said they are working on it and asked me send them logs from my device. It's pretty simple to send logs but you need a code from Garmin. They said they will notify me when the issue is fixed. Suggest everyone reach out to Garmin Support directly with this issue.
I have the same problem. I don’t have paying clients, but I am paying the GoPro subscription. My sim is useless right now. I wish Garmin would properly check their updates before pushing them out to everyone. I’ve read that they’re asking people to send “logs” of the errors. I want to contribute towards fixing the problem. Does anyone know how to get and send these logs?
I’m seeing something similar, especially on short putts. I’m also having a hard time aiming just a few inches left or right of the hole on big breakers. The aim point will randomly jump like 2–3 ft left or right, and then I have to swipe like crazy just to get it back to aiming at the hole.
