I was wondering is there a feature request to add face impact location and mapping to the Garmin R50? I dont even know if it is possible with an optical monitor or not.

If face impact location could be added, that would make the R50 the best value for money in the launchmonitor business by FAR.
GC quad does this and I think it can because it has 4 cameras. GC3 and this only have three cameras. Not sure if a fourth camera would be needed tho.
I massively upvote this, and I think it would be a fantastic sales point, after all, a Mevo+ can be upgraded to do this at a cheaper all-in price—certainly a way to take on foresight.
Bump, any update from Garmin on this one... after today's golf lesson I realise how important this is
I kind of like seeing dead center impact location when I am using GS Pro ;)
If the Garmin could get this, it would be awesome.
I would think that if the Mevo can do it that the Garmin should be able to with some algorithm.
Hi Cody, can we confirm if this is being considered or not? It has quite a lot of traction!
There are not announcements regarding the feature at this time. I have continued to add those commenting to the feature request for this option on our end.
If any news related to face impact is offered, I will be sure to post as soon as any info becomes available!
