Garmin CT10 and R50.

So I have bought right into the Garmin universe, coming from the Shotscope world.

While I had no issue with the Shotscope products and still promote them to friends who don't want the additional expenses, I liked what Garmin has done with the Z30 as well as the Approach S70 watch.

I like the fact the R50 will store my data in the same place that they store club info.  My Bag.

I am wondering if there is a plan to have the CT10 sensors be able to inform the R50 what club is being used in the range?

Be great to just take a club out of the bag, and have it registered automatically  and collect the appropriate data for use on the golf course.

Is there any thought to doing this for those that have both?

  • There are not any announcements at this time in regards to the Approach CT-10 sensors and Approach R50 compatibility. If any new announcements related to this request become available, Garmin will notify users.

Since the release of the Approach CT-10 sensors, they have always been designed to work with golf devices that use GPS while golfing at an actual course location to automate scoring and shot tracking.

  • Agreed, but think it would be great to pull a club out at the sim, and have it know the club.  You have bluetooth in the R50 already so this would be simply detect club so I don't have to. Would make it easier to switch clubs around at the range as well.

Why not gather data from the sim rounds as well to compliment the real ones?
