Many enclosure impact screens are in a 4:3 or more square aspect ratio. It would be nice to be able to configure the aspect ratio of the external display.

I agree. I have square screen due to limited space. Screen is cut off. So sad. I cannot cha ge the projector position.
Hi. I am not seeing your direct message. Can you send again please?
I subscribe to this request as well.
I would like this feature too, as well as the ability for custom, non-standard resolutions.
I can change the aspect ratio to 4:3 on my projector, but that results in the entire picture being squished and not a true 4:3 that is properly scaled. Is that what the tickets you are submitting are looking to fix? If not, I’d like to request that ability so the picture looks normal! Thanks.
I am using the Benq Ah700st which will adjust it to fit the screen. Working for me, but not a cheap projector.
Yeah. My projector (Epson 1080) won't let me do 4:3, so I would require the source to output 4:3. Even if the projector could, it would be distorting the image since the only way to display true aspect ratios is from the source. Hope

Hopefully the R50 allows you to change this aspect ratio in a future update. Don't see why it would be all that difficult to do, the hardware can definitely handle it.
The display settings for your projector can be set completely on the options offered for your Epson projector, following the guidance outlined on the Epson 1080 manual states in the "Choosing the aspect ration section". Epson states for the Cinema 1080 models, if your video source is HDMI, your video signals are automatically resized to fit on your screen when the "Auto" option is selected.
If Auto is unavailable, you can choose from three different settings: Normal, Full, Zoom, or Wide with the "Normal" settings allowing 4:3 aspect ratio. The manual for that projector also specifies that you can reference more details as to how the projector resizes the picture when you choose one of the aspect settings.
Please contact the support options offered from the manufacturer of your external display if you are unsure how to get the image displayed how you want it through the HDMI connection from the R50.
We get this, and know how to output 4:3 from the projector, however this makes the picture squished. We need the R50 to output 4:3 so we can get a true 4:3 experience.
