Many enclosure impact screens are in a 4:3 or more square aspect ratio. It would be nice to be able to configure the aspect ratio of the external display.

How did you do this? Both screen type and aspect ratio are greyed out on the projector settings and not able to be changed with my optoma get2100hdr projector hooked up to garmin R50
Updated June 5th, 2025:
Software version 4.10 and GLM 3.9.0 is now 100% available to all Approach R50 users.
Support for aspect ratio has been added to the Approach R50 when connected to an external display. Please keep in mind that the aspect ratio, display, picture and other settings on your external display will also affect how the image is displayed when you are mirroring or extending the display from the Approach R50.
Keep an eye out for the update showing available to install.
For more info on the new 4.10 software update and GLM 3.9.0 you can access the full change log through the link here: Approach R50 System Software 4.10 and 3.9.0 GLM Rollout
Thank you all for your feedback and participation here in Garmin Forums, and I am glad we were able to accommodate this request.
Just installed the update last night. For those with a 4:3 screen like myself this is an amazing addition. The image looks amazing on this thing now. Really appreciate Garmin (and Garmin-Cody) listening to this forums feedback and implementing feature requests in a timely manner.
Really appreciate Garmin addressing a lot of the feedback in this most recent update. Any chance we can get them to look into adding 1:1 in a future update?
