E6 Connect compatibility on R50

On all of the marketing that went out on YouTube E6 Connect (and even Apex) showed as a compatible device yet now its not and been taken off.

It’s super disappointing as I was hoping to use E6 Connect on the IPad without having to buy a gaming PC just yet for GSpro- I have used E6 before on the Mevo+ and it works well enough.

Do Garmin have a timeframe when they are likely to have E6 on the device?

E6 Connect and E6 Apex 3rd party connections to the Approach R50 are now official supported and operational.

YouTube videos were showing E6 already loaded on the 3rd party connector. The influencers had a different unit than what I received. When I received mine and opened up the connection and didn’t see E6…

Thanks for the announcement, is there any clarity as to if the r50 comes with any courses or such for connect, apex, or iOS?

The Approach R50 is not compatible with the e6 Connect demo license that they offer for the Approach R10, which is available only on iOS as the e6 Connect app mobile app features for those 5 courses is the only method of using the demo code from e6.

The license code sourced from the Garmin Golf app is only available on the iOS version of the app installed.

Thank you for the update.. kind of bummed that the unit would not come with a basic license like Mevo, r10, or others. But see I can get the 15 day license to try it out. Are the subscriptions available now for R50s when I checked last time It was only available for the r10.

Garmin just released an update 1.7.0.5 that addressed my Garmin R50 connect options. I was able to now connect to the r50 with E6 Connect via the R10 license pack shared.

The latest updates for the Approach R50 can be found here, along with the changelog description for the updates:

Both of the software updates most current for the Approach R50 were released a month ago. There was not a recent release for the Approach R50.
