E6 Connect compatibility on R50

On all of the marketing that went out on YouTube E6 Connect (and even Apex) showed as a compatible device yet now its not and been taken off.

It’s super disappointing as I was hoping to use E6 Connect on the IPad without having to buy a gaming PC just yet for GSpro- I have used E6 before on the Mevo+ and it works well enough.

Do Garmin have a timeframe when they are likely to have E6 on the device?

    @cody your reply at best is facetious but at worst is playing me for a fool. When the garmin was sent out to all of your online influencers (as part of garmin pushing the product out these were not free and the influencers had to return) many of them alluded to the fact e6 was included. Indeed on many of their channels it actually showed e6 connect and e6 apex as a viable sim connector. 

    even so on garmins own website e6 connect is ticked as a sim software to connect to.

    The response I gave you is providing you the information relevant to the feature as coming soon. I cannot speak to what influencers have posted on videos...however, I can provide you with the information for that 3rd party platform from Garmin. 

    e6 Apex is slated as coming soon for use with the R50. Please refer to the link I provided you to the official Garmin site stating the status for e6. 

    That is all the additional information available at this time. Once the platform is available on the R50...it will be announced.

    Again this is such a disappointing response. An honest response if we jumped the gun and over promised on e6 and an apology would suffice.

    let me ask this a different way then:

    1) were influencers sent Garmin R50’s to preview on their channels?

    2) did E6 connect and E6 apex show as viable 3rd party connectors on these devices?

    3) of the answer is yes to both of these is it reasonable to assume the influencers would say e6 can be connected? (Rather than coming soon!!!!)

    YouTube videos were showing E6 already loaded on the 3rd party connector. The influencers had a different unit than what I received. When I received mine and opened up the connection and didn’t see E6 I thought something was wrong. Now I’m just hoping that E6 is actually going to be loaded at some point.

    But, I’m really hoping Garmin fixes other issues first.

    e6 software is not currently available on any public version of R50 software. This is all that can be communicated any further at this time. 

    Once it becomes available, users will be notified on the change log that is visibly shown on the R50 prior to selecting the option to update the software. 

    e6 Connect and e6 Apex not currently being available on the Approach R50 is not a feature that is broken...the features for using the Approach R50 with e6 Connect and e6 Apex will become available at some point in the future.

    Same it just suddenly appeared on the connect page within the past day or so.

    Same.  Just noticed it showed up today.
