Used only Garmin Golf Range for this test. (my E6 works fine with elevation changed to 10,000)
My basement ceilings are low. I cant swing woods or Driver with less than 8ft of clearance. Luckily I'm only 5'6"!
Brought my R10 to a indoor simulator and WOW. Its really close to the Uneekor Eye XO distances using TGC 2019. Direction was fairly accurate but sometimes way off. Ball spin was always higher on R10. When in my basement distances are ALWAYS on average 20+ yards short using Garmin Driving Range or Home Tee Hero. Esp on longer 6 iron to Hybrid 3 19deg. As many have posted this is a huge problem.
I've tried everything in my basement to try and get it accurate. changing height, angle, Diff Rugs, 2 Diff hitting mat, 2 diff hitting nets, 4 diff types of lighting, no light, distances from net to ball, ball to R10. nothing changes it.
The Simulator had extremely high Ceilings I'm going to ballpark 15 feet. If Garmin noted this in there R10 I wouldn't of bought it knowing it doesn't work in low Ceiling areas.
So Garmin should you be putting this in the disclaimer? Honestly if i knew this wasn't meant for low ceiling areas I would of not purchased this item. I get this 6-8ft distances behind your ball and 8+ft infront of the net but there should really have a note saying it will not read accurate results. Unless you can fix this. That would be even better.
