Are there any plans to add a camera on the front of R10 to allow for putting measurements?  This would be an excellent enhancement that others are asking for as well.  Will you update the R10 to another model with that camera - such as R10+ or something similar?  I would gladly pay an additional $100-$200 to have putting available.

    Another solution could be to extract putting data from the existing swing capture feature? It would obviously be limited by the framerate of the camera of your device, but I think it could work for putting.

    Later on this feature could be expanded to allow for external cameras. (which would be a nice addition to swing capture anyway)

    I understand that extracting data from video footage is not a trivial task, as any computer vision project is a big messy bag of edge cases, but you (Garmin) should have the size for it. And you should certainly have a pretty solid business case to justify the investment.

    Please add putting, i can chip really soft and make some putts or at least get it in gimmie circle. So ofviously can read swing and club im sure theres a way to update to putt at least i hope it can. love the r10 although for a full sim would be great to putt

    FYI, this came from Garmin Rob about a month after a Looong "will you add putting" post was replied to by many and Garmin considered .......

    Thanks to everyone who requested this feature. After consideration, our development team has no plans to add putting to the R10. This is due to the overall design, which prevents it from being able to track putts.

    Soooo the answer for now is, NO, Garmin won't be doing putting with the R10.

    How about this for putting garmin! Add a app to garmin watch or smart watch S60 has swing tempo or add your ct10 to putter even better idea.
