I have been using the R10 for a couple days now and my distances seems way off. Seems very club is approx 20yards short from the range? Is there anything that needs to be done with calibration?

I'm a new owner couple days. Every club is ridiculously short. On real course I bomb 250 on bad hits....I struggle to get 180yds reading. All the irons seem like they are read like an 8I. Can't get…
Similiar problem for me, been using for a couple of days and all clubs are only recording 2/3 distance, checked the setup with a tape measure and spirit level and still the same problem. I have tried inside…
I want to love this thing had such high hopes and as is has become an enormous let down.
Saw on FB- There was an update to the Garmin Golf app about 15 hours ago. It’s available on iOS. Haven’t had a chance to use it but from poking around, looks as if there are now multiple driving range modes. However, the biggest change looks to be the “weather” settings which include altitude for both Home Tee Hero and the driving range. Really hoping this fixes the shortage issues with distances!
Wow.
Sounds like good news.
Altitude setting is not fixing the root cause of any issues, but personally I don't care as long as the ball travels the distance I expect it to do.
This may fix the problem for short distance indoor / outdoor net when playing a real golf ball.
I have still to test almostgolf balls where I expect the difference to be too big to correct only with altitude change, unlrss I can go to the moon.
4.2 made things worse. No improvement. I’m done with the r10. Mevo ordered. It’s a shame. I bought $200 over retail. So frustrated.
Update the Garmin Golf app via the App Store. It's a game changer!
Try the new Garmin golf app you can set the altitude on driving range and HTH. Just tune it to where you get your yardages.
I am on version 2.6.1 of the app and ver 4.2 of the software but do not have any choice of courses and cannot see a way to change the altitude, is that the up to date version of the app for android?
Yes.
See my reply in another thread.
Short: for phones the update is available in google play
For tablets: same as before. You need to download the new version (2.7) from apkcombo. It's available there, I have installed it on my tablet, and it's working. Be aware of long load time on first usage. To me it looked like it was stuck on startup screen, but it loaded eventually.
The version I can see and have installed from Google Play is 2.6.1 for android phone, dated 22nd July
When I looked for Garmin Golf in google play, I got update instead of open.
Not sure if Garmin rolls out these updates over time as well, but if the update is not available for You yet, and You don't want to wait, install it manually from apkcombo as for tablets.
