Spin Axis - is there anyone at Garmin I can please speak with?

I'm an indoor sim golfer - been playing for around 8 years using a GC2 with HMT.

The Garmin R10 was of huge interest due to the great price point and I am thankful to have received mine quickly.

I've been testing it against the GC2/HMT and have noticed the biggest differences to be related to Spin axis (club path) where GC2/HMT shows in to out and draw ball flight, whereas R10 shows out to in and fade ball flight.

Also.. with 3W and driver I am seeing a lower launch angle with R10, by 3 degrees or so.

Is there anybody at Garmin I can speak with to understand more about the unit and see if there are things I can do in my setup?

Garmin-Jimmy Garmin-Rob When can we possibly expect an update that would fix the spin issues? If it's not dealt with, it may be a dealbreaker for many.

Sounds like we are all experiencing this problem. Low launch as well as favoring a ball flight to the right. Only time I get a draw is on a purposeful hook. I bet it’s safe to assume that the low launch level is contributing to lower than normal spin numbers. I normally carry my SW about 110yd and often zip them back. My wedge spin is usually 9-10k rpm. The R10 was showing almost 120 carry with 5-10yds of rollout on full swing with only about 6-7k backspin and of course lower launch. Hopefully a future firmware update can get these numbers closer to normal. If that’s not fixable I’ll probably sell the unit and get the Mevo+.

I think what a number of us waiting for pre orders (some like me just delayed another month) would like to know quickly is .. will the club path issues be something that Garmin can address without a hardware upgrade? Hopefully the read is a little past the ball etc.. to explain the pattern of significant out to in bias .. also will we get accurate indoor performance. The transparency would be most appreciated ..

Rob regarding this - as a coder myself, I just wanted to present some information that may be useful to the engineering team regarding spin axis and spin rate measuring. If there are inconsistencies in measuring either or both of those, due to lack of data I suggest that the R10 Settings include a: Default Swing Path, or Default Stock Shot option that includes 5 options such as: Left Hook, Left Draw, Straight, Right Fade, Right Slice which each user can select and the R10 software may use to fill in for, or help determine where exactly that ball went when the data was inconclusive - as it appears to be in some cases.

I would appreciate if you pass this on to Engineering, and let us know when (ETA) there may be a possible fix? Thanks!

Sounds like an interesting solution. I wish we had some news on the firmware updates.

I'm curious if this is my problem with my driver being short... if the flight time is lower from lower launch angles... I'm going to pay attention to this today

What's interesting for me is the 3W generally goes farther than my driver (which is far easier to hit far 250+ for me).....
