Stroke index not updated on the G80 since new handicap system.

Why are Garmin unable to update the stroke indexes on the G80. I have sent them cards on courses I play. Using the G80 to score with is a waste of time. Also i play off the reds and it will not let me change my husbands to yellow. It forces me to score him off the reds. Sort it out Garmin.

Where did you send the scorecard to, as I need to update my course as the stroke indexes are also wrong.

Hi Michael, I have sent score cards for 2 different courses to [email protected] and to [email protected].

However, just cos I've sent them it doesn't mean they are updating them. They appear to not be able to do regular updates. I just do not understand why it is so difficult to get the course stroke indexes update. Hubby says its all about paying a technical guy's wages. If you have any luck please let me know.

Hi Michael I typed a reply to you but it has been viewed as abusive or spam and will not let me put what I want. Basically Garmin will not issue regular updates and our devices as scorecards are useless.

I have just been on the German Forum. Garmin customers there have exactly the same unsolved issues with the G80. Apparently score card issues have been going on since year dot. Take our money and then ignore us.

Golf course updates are requested at this link https://www.garmin.com/en-US/forms/golfcourses/ I sent through some changes for my club, but it does a few months for the changes to be made. You will also need to update the courses on your device through Garmin Express once the course has been updated.

Unfortunately, I don't think that the G80, or any other Garmin devices, can handle scoring from mixed tees at the present time.
