The G80 received an update an update a little over 3 years ago that allows users to manually save shot distances, and the distance can be assigned to the specific club used, with the information syncing…
This thread is for any Approach G80 owner that would like the additional feature ability added into their G80 unit so shot-by-shot distances are recorded - the equivalent of Autoshot for our wrist…

I will be happy to. I have sent you a Private Message to get you officially added.
Does this work? If I buy a G80 and reply here will it have auto shot enabled? I can’t give up my X40 without it! Or is there any way it can work with the CT10, fenix 6 or X40 to record this information? It is vital to me for reviewing my round afterwards. Thanks
So at the start of each hole, you have to hit "Measure Shot" on the G80 menu and hit "Begin Measurement". This is so the device knows where the tee shot was. After that, once you reach your ball, you go back into "Measure Shot", hit "Save Shot", and select the club you used. Then, every subsequent shot, approach your ball, and do the Save + Club.
You can edit the shots afterwards in the app (change the club, lie, location, if it was in plays, out of play, OB, etc) or delete shots.
It can't do putting, but it will provide strokes gained afterwards, show dispersions, average distance and max distance you hit with that club.
No autoshot, but it's pretty easy to lock the device and keep it on you in your back pocket.
Please add me to this request. The system won’t let me send you a private message.
