SIMULATOR BUG: CIQ 4.1.x changes in the value of DeviceSettings.isGlanceModeEnabled

In the simulator in CIQ 4.0.x, the value of DeviceSettings.isGlanceModeEnabled was always *true* for devices that supported widget glance views.

This appears to have been changed in CIQ 4.1.x as the value of DeviceSettings.isGlanceModeEnabled is now only true when the "Glance View" menu option (Settings -> Glance View) is checked. This means that we are now unable to simulate widgets running fullscreen after selecting the widget from glance view since there is now no way to determine if the widget is being run from the glance view or not. And then, because of this, the up/down button events are not passed to the widget.

    This is STILL an issue in 4.1.3 -- much sadness.

    Once again, i would like to ask if it would be possible for the developer community to have access to a page somewhere (forums or developer site) of known issues.

    Actually, no, I'm begging you. Please. Pretty please. If I run into an error I would much rather check if it's a known issue than assume it's me and then WASTE two hours checking different projects and trying different things and finally tracking it down and confirming that it's a compiler/simulator issue. And then the gut punch to top it all off is that it's a KNOWN ISSUE and so I also wasted my time writing up a forum post to reporting the issue.

    I see this too, and moving back to 4.0.10 when working with widgets or super apps is the only solution I've found.

    We already have a fix planned for this, but I'm not sure when it will be available. I'll poke the ticket and see if we can get some traction on it sooner.
