Feature request: smart wake alarm depending on sleep cycle

Please could you looking into developing a native smart wake alarm just like FitBit has been doing since 2020.

The article below sums up the situation really well.

Sleep is so important for any sports enthusiast and in my opinion this is litterally the missing piece of the wellness / recovery puzzle in Garmin wearables.

  • There is another very useful case for "smart wake": Breaking the excessive REM sleep for people suffering from depression.

Might sound nasty being woken in the middle of a dream, but if the other outcome is the person keep on dreaming violently until something wild happens in the dream, then maybe a gentle tap on the wrist is not so bad....

See: https://youtu.be/MA3Pc22WmwQ Old video, but still relevant. And nevermind the hair :-)

A lot of people get depression. Some 30% of women and 20% of men is expected to encounter is during their life.

  • Garmin Forums Garmin please do not ignore this feature request by saying it was not posted in the right place. So many users are supporting it. Personally, I had to buy a fitbit charge 4 on top of my way more expensive Epix Gen 2  to benefit from this incredible daily life saver of an alarm system and this is just unacceptable. You added wrist based power due to competition from your peers, please do the same for smart wake. Please at least let us know where we can add that feature request and not just discuss it (other forums do not have the feature request flag if I am not mistaken) if you are not willing to add a story to your backlog following the success of this post.

  • This would be a useful feature on the 955

  • I also need this. Please , Garmin
