Feature request: smart wake alarm depending on sleep cycle

Please could you looking into developing a native smart wake alarm just like FitBit has been doing since 2020.

The article below sums up the situation really well.

Sleep is so important for any sports enthusiast and in my opinion this is litterally the missing piece of the wellness / recovery puzzle in Garmin wearables.

  • It's usable, but you likely need to be an advanced user and have some bug tolerances. You definitely need to install 3 apps (1 sleep as android itself and 2 connectors) and add them all into battery unrestricted mode.
App that run on watches itself is buggy - it keep vibrating on snooze and when it's running you cannot turn it off somehow, however when you done sleeping and tracking on your phone it closes normally.

So not very good but due to lack of alternatives it somehow works. I cannot say anything bad about phase it woke you up at - detects really well, my trick to give very wide range when you can be woken up - 60 minutes or more - in my case I have the best results, significantly more energy during the day, but awkward experience.

PS: Please upvote the feature, maybe one day garmin enable it natively

  • How well does this "Sleep by Android" work?? The mobile app seem to get very mixed review. Unstable, not working (no alarm) and something alarms that can't be turned off....

  • That's the only function which could make me to abandon garmin. I'm just dependent on smart wake functionality, I function 30% better when woken within the best cycle
I'm currently using Sleep as Andorid but will switch to Apple in several months, it appear there is no alternative for garmin there, so I'll be shopping for a watch from some other brand and unlikely will return back.

And I'm not buying cheap fit bracelets, I'm buying top products
