Feature request: smart wake alarm depending on sleep cycle

Please could you looking into developing a native smart wake alarm just like FitBit has been doing since 2020.

The article below sums up the situation really well.

Sleep is so important for any sports enthusiast and in my opinion this is litterally the missing piece of the wellness / recovery puzzle in Garmin wearables.

  • It's so disappointing that Garmin doesn't have this feature yet. On my €60 fitness tracker, it works wonderfully. It's ridiculous for Garmin. If this feature were available, I would have a genuine interest in a Garmin watch.

  • I'd buy a Fenix Pro 7 right away if they had this as a native app.  I just bought a FitBit Charge 6 to fill the gap for now.  It's a pain to have two watches, so eventually I may need to migrate away from Garmin (which I do like).  Sad.

  • As a Garmin developer I was early awaiting the venu 3, but seeing that it still lacks this functionality I won't be buying the watch. My years old Fitbit sense is an OLED watch with multi day battery that has this (and call) functionality.

Without first party support for this, it falls on developers to create imperfect solutions that don't work with body battery. And the funny thing is, the body battery data ~already contains~ the data necessary to support this. I can't imagine this is a patent issue, possibly a lack of on team expertise on HRV?

  • Totally agree. So disappointing Venu 3 does not have this. Especially with all the new features they made around sleep....
I was waiting for the Venu 3 to come out, hoping it would have this. But now I bought a Fitbit Charge 5 instead, to sleep with along the old Venu 2, which will have to run a few more seasons. Maybe Venu 5 or 6???

  • So disappointed to discover this feature isn't offered on my new Venu 3. Unbelievable for such an expensive watch, especially since cheaper competitor watches added this years ago.

I don't understand why such an in-demand feature has been neglected. Surely it would be pretty simple to implement given the hardware these watches are already equipped with?

Can someone from Garmin please at least reply to this thread? Pray
