Contact Developer User Feedback ReplyTo Address Missing

I know this is probably not the correct forum however I am not sure where it belongs. 

Have there been recent changes to the Garmin App store ? The two messages received in the past 2 days from users via the Contact Developer link do not have a reply to address. It is now impossible to reply to users who send a query to the developer ?

  • Sorry to say this, but this is just another example of fact, that CIQ team doesn't have clue how the platform is used in "real life". It is really patetic, that this issue wasn't solved during all those years, with several waves of discussions about this topic. And everytime when it is dragged to the surface again, nobody remember how previous discussion ended. Get it finally together please! Everything new is messed up more than it was previously, I rather don't want to see new CIQ Store 2.0 in this.. 

    Guess what, 95% of those who write feedback without email expect to get answer from developer. Those who write feedbacks to our apps are from that small percentage of community, who can help our apps to be better, so its great to get them feeling, that we doesn't care. 

    And don't comment that it is their fault, that they not add email please!

    The only reason why I react on forum after long time, because I just spent time with translating and reacting to great feedback only to realise, it will again end up in noreply, because I again missed not included email.

  • Yes, the OP said the reports came via the Contact Developer link which was assumed to be the Contact Developer link on the app download page at https://apps.garmin.com, and my response reflects that.

    It sounds like the ConnectIQ app has removed this field. That may be a bug, we will have to check with the ConnectIQ app team to determine how this should be handled.

  • I do agree with Jim,

    if you do contact dev through computer, you have the email address optional field,

    but if you do so through Connect IQ app (Android on my side) this field does not show up anymore.

    i think it is a bug from Garmin IQ.

  • It makes sense that it would have changed when GDPR was introduced. If you use the web site to contact the developer it does highlight that your email address will not be shared and allows you to enter an address. The ConnectIQ app should at least do the same thing. I would prefer the default action be to include the address and the user have to make the decision to remove it. Thanks
