This is not planned for the Edge 530, but could be implemented for future devices. 

Ambient light sensor API access

Does anyone know if there are plans for opening the (in my case Edge 530) ambient light sensor through an API? Apparently it has one since it can adjust the brightness automatically. It would be nice if one could read the light level and make a function including that and the current speed to control ANT+ capable lights. Does Garming have a place where you can officially make suggestions like that and upvote them?

    Hallo
    benutze eine Garmin Edge 1040 und die Varia515, willst das nur, wenn sich Autos nähern, schaltet sich das Licht an und dann wieder aus, z.B. mit NightFlash.
    Habe schon einige Codes ausprobiert, da das Licht angeht, aber nicht mehr aus. Und wenn ich dieses Datenfeld nicht auf der aktuellen Trainingsseite habe, geht das Licht überhaupt nicht an.
    Weiteres Problem kann nicht in den verschiedenen Lichtmodus Smart Manual Netzwerk wechseln, ohne die Seite immer wieder zu verlassen. Ich kann also nicht mehr als einmal darauf klicken, um die
    Set-Modifikationen zu sehen. Eine weitere Frage müssen Sie dauerhaft mit der Trainingsseite haben, auf der Smart Control darauf offen ist, dass die Funktion Autos anleuchten, kein Auto aus, funktioniert oder dann auf
    jeder Trainingsseite gilt.
    Wäre sehr dankbar für den Code, den Lichttyp kann ich dann selbst ändern brauche hauptsächlich Peloton und NightFlash

    Not planned for Edge 530. What about other devices ? 830 ? 1040 ? future 540 and 840 ?
