DataFields : 367 RunFields

Update 2015-09-15

Have started to upload V2 of the 367Bike and RunFields to the App store.
367BikeFields is Live.
367RunFields is Live

The new version adds TimerTime, also adds the seconds on the timer once you reach > 1hr. (I'm told that seeing seconds is especially important for runners)

Note for all : Please refer to the app store for the latest in the NEW direction the app/datafield is going.
Go PRO! GO UnLimited!!

  • TOD (Time Of Day)
  • Timer Time
  • Pace 10s / Current Speed (in KM or Miles)
  • Cad
  • HR
  • Dist (either Miles or KM)
  • Avg Pace / Avg Speed

Many Thanks to SimonMcMullen for his code guidance.
Many Thanks to TORSTEINVH for his guidance on how to make an moving average (tho it's still a hack and not pretty code)

  • I just tried it out, as expected. Looks awful unfortunately

the lines are not centered for the centre vertical line. The coloured rectangle - while looks OK - I still feel it's awful.

    What do you think?

You are right. I think also that the purple will be to dark to read.

There are two other options to consider:
    - foreground color (I mean numbers)
    - additional colored icon (dot, rectangle, CAD caption, etc)

But idea is promising because it is definitelly extra info and having it there is no need to switch to the running stats screen.

Thank you for the effort, I will reanimate my PayPal account to honoru you :-)
  • I did try the colored numbers. That was what I first tried out. Also don't look all that great. Shld have taken a screenshot.

Hi. I've added a second row but it contains the same data. i.e. 2 rows of TOD, Elapsed and CAD. Am I doing something wrong?

EDIT: After rereading the thread. I've managed it. It was on 1st and 3rd and same data
    Now I have......
    1st Row: TOD, Elapsed, CAD
    2nd Row: Speed, Dist, HR

Third Row would be great but very happy in the meantime. Thanks
  • On the 6 field display on the 920, when you go over 100km, the distance field expands and runs into the HR field (https://onedrive.live.com/redir?resid=b99af6aa0c614f97!314682&authkey=!AAu6_ER9MhmQmEw&v=3&ithint=photo%2cjpg)

It would be a good idea to change it so when you go over 100km, stop showing the 10's of metres. Just show the 100's. I'd imagine something similar would happen when you go over 1,000km (unlikely for me!)

    Thanks for the "bug report"
I've reworked it to reduce decimal points from 2 to 1 when values > 100km/miles
(only tested it via the code by artifically bloating the Dist). I've had not had rides > 100km in a LONG time.

I've also moved the fields around, namely the cadence and the Speed. Speed is now in the middle. This is mainly for aesthetic as well as functionality reasons.
By doing it as such, I've been able to draw "lines" or accent lines as garmin calls it. Now it "looks" more like a native garmin datafield. (well, one that you can't configure anyways)

I'm uploading the new version to the store (not tested on actual hardware since I didn't bring my cable)

Let me know what you guys think.

Donations are again - Much Much Welcomed.

Bosman_Zorz - Thank you for your donation. Please verify that it was indeed you. If yes, I do have a surprise for you :-p

Yep, that's me. :) I tested datafield in practice and find it very useful, thanks again.

As I said before - for training it's almost perfect, for the competition (without HRM belt) there will be two 'blanks' HR and CAD - so I will probably choose something different.

Why would CAD be blank? You don't wear a HR Strap, but you will still get cadence from the Watch internal accelerometer even if you don't wear a footpod.

anyways - check your inbox. I've sent you a PM.

Sorry for my ingorance, I didn't know that cadence is measured also from the wrist.

PS. Checked the inbox and I am delighted, thank you!
  • Hi,

These are the best 2 data fields on the site!

I know you've probably received a 101 requests to customise so wanted to find out whether you've open sourced the code for others to make mods? The one very important field that is missing (for me!) is 10s Avg Power (I'd trade that for Speed).

    thanks.
