During winter times I use to cycle indoors. Having my laptop connected via ANT+ dongle I use GoldenCheetah to control power level and record the session. So the trainer gets set the target power to be set by GoldenCheetah (gc) and transmits back Riders Power, Cadence, Speed, etc. The watch is transmitting the heart rate from the indoor cycling profile. It all gets logged by gc and even synched to Strava.
For comforts sake I would like to be able to start the recording when pressing start on my (somewhat old) vivoactive3, that is transmitting the heart rate to the laptop. Is there a generic way or available profile that is transmitting any of the signals gc seems to be able to receive.
I'm not fully sure if this a question towards Garmin or rather gc, but hope you can point me somewhere.
