sorry, my previous answer was not correct.

To control a Hue light, one needs to send a HTTP PUT comand with JSON body.

Good news is, I'm currently working on a simple solution to enable HTTP PUT with JSON bodys.
So hopefully with the next release you will be able to control your Hue lights directly using IoTClient.

Ah ha! Fantastic! Yes I'm afraid your previous post went a bit over my head! :-).

    I'll wait for an update...

Thanks again for the reply (both of them)

    missing settings in connect app

    hi

i'm looking forward to testing this widget, but unfortunately the settings option simply isnt showing up in the android garmin connect app. I've tried reinstalling the widget both through the app, and through wired sync to pc via garmin connect on windows. unfortunately the same outcome; there is only the option to 'uninstall' or 'view in store'.

At this point i'm assuming i'm overthinking things and simply missing something really obvious. any assistance would be greatly appreciated.

    cheers, theo

    OAuth Token Support

    Hi Stenninger,

is it possible tu support OAuth tokens with your IoT Client in the next version ?
I would like to start an prototyp application on an SAP IoT Platform where I need OAuth access token support by teh 3rd party IoT Client.
You could also send me a PN for further discussion.

    Thanks in advance,

    Dice roller and coin flipper!

Hi, I can't see this being particularly useful but I'm putting it out there anyway. Here's a dice rolling API I created that works with this widget. You can configure the number of sides of the dice and also how many rolls of the dice you need (up to 6) which may be useful for a few different games. There's also a heads/tails coin flipper.

I feel like an idiot but I can't get this to work. I've found the necessary URL/settings needed and they work when I enter them in on a web browser but I keep getting a message that either says it is OK (but doesn't work) or an error -300 on my Garmin. I really want to use this. Please help!

Hmmm...can you double check that the full URL has been spelt correctly in the app settings including the JParam part as that can cause this behaviour.

I copied and pasted the link directly from the web, where it was working. Insteon actually has a site (http://www.smarthome.com.au/smarthome-blog/insteon-hub-http-commands/) that will create the links for you. I deleted it all and started from scratch and it is still doing the same thing.
