    Ascent Descent Total

Hi, Compliment for the application, only one question: I'm having problems with the total Ascent and Descent calcolation, this seems to be linked to the Glonass option. The application doubles meters/feet ex: istead of to be 100 meters the application show 200 meters. Is somenthing that you can fix? or is a Garmin problem?
    thanks

    Elevation information

I'm using a forerunner 630 and I live over the hills, at around 200 meters of elevation, is it possible that at the starting the application memorize the altitude and then he is going to ad at the end? really is a mistery for me, Yesterday I went for 23Km and the watch gave me a total 1.040 meters of elevation, when I connected to the computer the real altitude (calculated with correction by Garmin) was 840 Meters........
  • Before a course, you must modify the altitude.
After (a minimum of 1 or 2 minutes), you must start the activity. When the GPS is ready, you can start the activity.

In certain case, the altitude may be memorized by the watch and it's the last.
  • For confirmation, you can put an another screen. where You put the ascent and descent. When you run, you can turn the button for seeing alternativly the screen and DF4trail and you can compare the number. For me there is no difference
  • GPS based Altitude, Total Ascent and Total Descent can be quite off when viewed on a watch. For devices without a baro, that's why "elevation correction=on" is the default. Devices with a baro are much more accurate for this on the watch.

On a VVA, I've often seen the numbers being off by 100' or more using different apps... (with it REALLY showing in Ascent/Descent) Nothing can be done on the watch to correct for the error with "GPS only" elevation. I know the 23x devices don't have a baro, and I believe it's the same for the 630 The 23x's don't even have standard data fields for Total Ascent/Descent and I think it's due to the numbers being off by so much.

    Elevation

Thank you very much you all for the kind explanations.
  • temperature field

    Yes it's small
    i look to increase size

    above time probably

    Thank you for the update.

Now it is perfect... it would be useful to have also a temperature field..may be where small hr field was before update.
  • Great app,

I found the bar for gps status more useful instead of the green gps letters...

Would like to have the option to change the "AVG" and "SPE" data fields with some other data fields (barometer value, (and or) barometer trend arrow...

    best regards
