Thread to report any issues you are having with the SwimmersField Data Field.

This datafield has increased font size for distance value so it can be easily visible under water.

This is a free Data Field for the Fenix 3 watch that shows three values as a single field or as a top field of two fields layout.

SwimmersField is open source, its code can be found at github: https://github.com/vovan-/swimmer-datafiled-garmin

## Features

* Timer: duration of the activity in [hh:]mm:ss;

* Distance: large font elapsed distance in meters or yards based on system settings;

* Time of the day;

* Unit settings applied only before starting the activity. During activity settings won't apply.

A Data Field needs to be set up within the settings for a given activity (like Pool swim)

* Long Press UP

* Settings

* Apps

* Pool swim

* Data Screens

* Screen N

* Layout

* Select single field or two fields layout

* Field 1

* Select ConnectIQ Fields

* Select SwimmersField

* Long Press DOWN to go back to watch face

Finally someone who develops a data field for swimming !!! It would be much appreciated if we could have skins with larger numbers, because while swimming you misread those high and narrow originals fonts

Care should be taken with large nubmers, first of all we need to choose a good font, such a font that is big enough and well readable under the water while swimming.
Feel free to post images of good fonts suitable for such case here.

FR support?

Is SwimmersField compatible with the FR 230/235? Might it be made so? Is there any possibility of adding fields for time/x yards, and for SWOLF? If your app could be used to record pool swims on a 235, it would be exactly what I've been looking for! Thanks!

Any possibility of alerts in fractions of a second

I use alerts on the Fenix 3 to help pace when swim training, so I set it to alert for each 25m time I want to pace to.

Problem is this can only be done in whole seconds with the default settings, and I often need something at least to 0.25s accuracy.

Is this something that could be done as an app, widget or even data field? Would love to see that (and would be happy to pay)

Finally big font came to the SwimmersField. Now distance is displayed using the wide custom font. See SwimmerField v1.1.3

As it was requested by you, I have added FR 230/235 support to SwimmersField starting from version 1.1.4. Give it a try.
As of additionals fields, it is quite hard to distinguish multiple different values, when you stare at watch under water. So, I don't think it is suitable to add other fields to the screen, however, maybe I will add configurable fields, so, for example, you will be able to choose between timer/SWOLF or other fields to be displayed.

As far, as i know, alerts can be implemented as an app or a widget only, not a datafield.
Here is a shortcut from the developer API:

Length Unit

This data field is a good idea! I noticed the distance is meter. Can the displayed unit be based on the pool size unit? My pool is 25 yards, so I would prefer yards as the displayed length unit. Right now when I swim 2 lanes it shows me 45 meters. Even better would be a configurable data field to have all possible unit choices. Thank you.

The distance units are configurable. Configuration should be changed in watch settings:
navigate to Settings->System->Units->Distance->Choose Miles

Then your distance during swim will be counted and displayed in yards.

Hi I can't make mine record the distance? The timer is working fine, what settings should I have? I'm using a FR235
