Essential Version: 1.41
New updates require Connect IQ 1.2.1 support, please make sure your watch has the latest firmware downloaded before installing

Update 1.40
-Added ability to change background color

Essential eliminates screen clutter and displays only the essential data in a clean simple layout. With steps, calories and battery status displayed along with icons for phone connectivity, vibrations, alarms and notifications. Displays time while in high power mode. By default all secondary items change color with battery life.

Configurability using Garmin Express or Garmin Connect Mobile-
-Change the color of the time
-Change the color of all secondary items; default setting is to have them continue to change with battery life as they have in the past
-Turn on or off any icon, don’t want to see the move bar or care if vibrations are turned on just turn them off

    Hi,
After updating the version today ( on Vivoactive ) - only the notification icons are displayed. The rest of the display is all black.

    Best regards.

I haven't been able to replicate this problem, try uninstalling the watch face then restarting your watch and reinstalling it

Make sure you or your users have Garmin Express 4.1.11.0 installed.
There was a bug in v 4.1.10.0 or earlier that caused incorrect settings to be saved to the device, often in resulting white to become black, therefor appearing as if it is missing.

Thanks you - indeed updating Garmin Express solved the problem - everything seems to be working just great !

    Thanks again.

    Yo yo ma

Hi just wondering if you could put in an option to turn off calories?

Also, what is the icon next to Bluetooth?

    Cheers

Yeah I'll add in that option in the next update. The icon next to bluetooth is vibrations.

An idea - configurable data field in the right bottom corner.

    Hi,
    ow about the following idea:
Rather than turning calories on and and off - how about the ability to configure the bottom right corner, and allow to pick the data field that will be displayed there:
Calories, Distance, Steps Goal, to name a few.

    Just a thought...

    Configurable fields

Thanks for adding the configurable fields ( corners ).
Would it be possible to add Distance as one of the data fields to be displayed there ?

    Thanks again....
