Fenix 3 hangs after auto positioning

I have a fenix 3 paired with Samsung Galaxy S5. The widget goes from positioning to loading within a few seconds and the loading screen (auto load) remains dormant for a minute or so. I cannot retrieve information (nearest Metar site is CYYC). I specified CYYC as a deterministic site (both lower and upper case) and get an exclamation mark ! I did try Los Angeles KLAX Metar in the event CYYC was the problem and had no further success.

With Metar installed my Fenix 3 reboots randomly when I activate metar and when I turn on Bluetooth communication with my phone.

So far I have been unsuccessful receiving Metar information to the watch. My device OS is 6.5

Any thoughts on how to trouble shoot this are appreciated.

Hi,

This looks great but I don't have a D2 Bravo or Fenix 3 and consider them too big. Would you consider supporting this on a ForeRunner 235 or VivoActive? Any reason why this couldn't be made to work in principle?

A new version is on its way with some stability fixes. Unfortunately there was a problem when i submitted the new version to the store and the app dissapeared. I have an open support ticked with Garmin and im waiting for them to resolve the issue.

HI Glawe, any updates on the MyMetar App, really looking forward to the update.

Garmin NB: the most annoying thing is that once you installed the app and it is functioning happily and all if Garmin decides to remove it from Connect IQ it also disappears from your phone and watch and you are no longer able to reinstall it!
