Application: Sailing

This thread is for any comments or questions regarding my Sailing application. Feel free to post suggestions for new features or bugs. Thanks for using.

Vivoactive not tracking on relative motion

I have a Vivoactive. Bearing and Heading always track within 5 degrees no matter where I face. When I place a MOB, all it does is put a "MOB" splashy guy image on the face... no other apparent activity. Am I doing something wrong? Thanks.

I am purchasing a Fenix because of this app, but I need the timer as SpikyJT and OE8BCK outlined. Being able to sync the timer in a small boat is pretty crucial. How many beers do you need to implement this?

And SpikyJT -- what boats are you sailing? I race a Finn and a Snipe.

The app is not working since my last update. It did work before, but not anymore

Vivoactive HR support?

Are there any plans to make this app available for Vivoactive HR? It looks great, but only available for the original Vivoactive.

Like many others, I'm getting the IQ! error on my F3HR. I've never once been able to get into the App. Only third party app installed on my watch, one of the primary reasons I bought this was for dinghy racing and the availability of this app.

Firmware was just updated to most recent last evening, so I've been through several FW updates.

Any suggestions?

I was getting really tired of not being able to use functions on my watch, so I started from scratch again. I think the cause of the IQ! error is from using other watch faces. How many other people are using different watch faces? Now that I'm no longer using the Digic Watch, face, I've been able to use the Sailing application.

Is there a re-sync button somewhere if you're off on timing? So you can sync up at the 4 minute gun?

Support for 920xt

Could you add the countdown timer for the 920xt? I keep trying to mess with the available features for the 920, but none of it seems to be doing anything helpful.

I deleted all the watch faces and the app works perfectly - when I remember to hit start.. :(

Bought a Fenix3 Sapphire specifically to use this and am really impressed. It lags a little behind a Speedpuck I was using as a comparison, but generally very accurate I thought. Thanks for the app. :cool:

I bought today my fenix 3 and the first app I downloaded is this but still I could not try it . I have a question. in it is the tack assistant ? He tells me when I browse in the low ? example : I am on starboard tack , I lose 5 degrees and he vibrates advising me to tack . sorry for my English. Thanks for the attention

Averaging

Nice app but the speed display jumps around by over 0.5 mm requiring mental averaging. I note the same doesn't happen on my GPS driven chart plotter which therefore must be averaging the readings. Thus I suggest that your app could be improved by using GPS averaging.
