    Version 0.7

    I have just updated to a new version. It includes an experimental startline feature, some layout updates for the velocity view (this is really the biggest font I can offer. I vow!) and D2 Bravo support. I also added a 4 minute countdown. I hope you'll have fun testing the new features and encounter less bugs.
  • OK first tests in car
    1 Velocity screen GREAT love it so clear thanks
    2 Start line crashed sailor app after adding second point some time,some time work little bit and crashing too
    3 Starting timer from 3d screen with middle button great idea love it (may be with start/stop in this screen change timer time 10/5/4/1/ start )
    4 Adds may be you can add one more screen with map (if you can)
    5 Segments problem still exists
    6 I think garmin think in activity type in this app is walking and if i check activity in Garmin connect i see pace I prefer more speed and it wright in kps in Garmin connect but but values is km/h please check it if you can
    Thank you for Super Great app!!!!

    Release the fields of the racing side of the app for the racing app and keep decluttered and optimal the sailing app which doesn't need the start line and countdown.
    This way you build two apps alright but you have the sailing app not crashing and under testing by the boys while you can focus on the racing side of the app for the second app and release it when it's functional.

    Meanwhile the sailing app can be enjoyed without crashes and you'll take feedback (and coins!) to improve it... and when it is ready you will pull it inside the RACING app that, will have been perfectioned.

    Hi Andrew, thank you for your Feedback!

    • GPS Tracking is allready implemented. You can start it by pressing the start button after you received the first GPS data. But you are right, this is currently not very convenient. I will work on this!
    • A countdown timer seems to be what many people want to see. I'll implement this in one of the next versions
    • About Heartrate tracking I'm a little bit sceptical right now. I'll think about this one

    Best regards,
    Romano

    Had a chance to use the app last week. Had two crashes. First crash came after starting the timer IQ logo showed up on watch. Second crash occurred 46 min after start, 3/4 through my race. I was using 4.0 Fenix 3 software and latest version of the app that was available the night before. Just as I am updating today before another day on the water tomorrow.

    Features look great! Just please try working on crash issues before any more items get added in.

    I think the data based on calculus, which means the data fields, are all right and if something's up it must come from the map and waypoint feature.

    That's why I am suggesting that the racing part of the sailing app (startline, map, angle of aspect, bearing to middle point of the line, countdown, lapping the A and B points, ETA to reach the middle point, SPD to reach it at T=-1", etc. etc. [and these are just the ones I recommended but I'm sure you all gave even more requests]) be separated from the sailing app. Decluttering is paramount and with just 4 fields available the sailing is problematic to employ at its best (wind dir [bluetooth + phone + local weather forecast], heading, tail SPD 10" [trim adjust], angle of aspect to wind direction, calories/TE, SPD, virtual partner, etc. etc. etc.). Let alone the RACING which should ideally be on a single screen since it requires millisecond decisions in proximity of the start line and you can't afford to wait for the autoscroll nor to hit the button to scroll pages.

    As a secondary effect, splitting the app in 2, will allow those who are not racing to use the sailing app without the freezes and reboots that come after the racing features.
    The complexity of line drawing and waypoint to be added on the go are probably going to take long before fixing... perhaps even a FW patch (hopefully they'll fix the GPS accuracy again), in the meanwhile, at least, the sailing app won't crash.

    Improve readability, please

    Congrats to this app - love it.

    2 Things:
    Since I am not the youngest my visibility is not the best.

    It would be great to have 1 Screen (Page) in BIG WHITE LETTERS with

    * Shows current speed in knots
    * current bearing
    * travelled nautical miles
    * Current time

    This is what I need when sailing.
    By the way, it did not upload to Garmin connect with the activity type SAILING (it used running?)

    Thanks, will donate then...

    Once again app crashed multiple times.
    1st 43.32 minutes into tracking
    2nd 34.05 minutes into tracking

    Also would like to simplify the use of the countdown timer, when you press start it would be nice it if directly went to countdown.

    I did not get to use the start line, too much going on to go next to two points. How does it actually calculate eta when most of the time you are traveling sideways to the mark?

    Hello,

    First of all thank you for putting so much effort in the app.
    I am using the app on the 920xt sailing a 49er mostly.

    But as always some comments.
    - When using the start line function. The app crashes everytime when the second mark is marked.
    - Distance to start line would be good in Meters. which is a bit more precise.
    - A button lock function would be very nice

    Distance in meters ? Why
    You have button lock in watch long press on light button and you will see some new options
