Did that work for you? The names are no longer current/correct for Eclipse, so I installed the IDE Javascript version (the first option). When I go to install the connect software add-in, I get an error with the link (https://developer.garmin.com/downloads/connect-iq/eclipse/). Did this link from their page work for you?
YMMV with the Javascript version. I use "Eclipse IDE for Java and DSL Developers" but it works just fine with "Eclipse IDE for Java Developers". When you say you get an error with the link for the Garmin Eclipse plug-in, do you mean going to the page in a web browser? You need to add that URL to the list of software sites within the Eclipse configuration rather than trying to download something directly from that URL.
You indeed need Eclipse for Java developers otherwise it won't work.
I also have a step by step guide here: http://starttorun.info/garmin-connect-iq-setting-up-the-development-environment/
Thank you for the response. I have the Eclipse version "Eclipse IDE for Java Developers," so I think I am good there. I select Help, Install New Software..., Add... and I paste "http://developer.garmin.com/downloads/connect-iq/eclipse/" I then get this error:
Any Thoughts? I am using an up to date Mac.
Thank you for responding. Though I am running a Mac, I followed your directions as well. The big difference I noticed was that your plugin into Eclipse is not a secure link (http: versus https:). I still get the same error. It is like I am blocked from the repository. I have tried secured and no. I have tried the entire URLs and the root parts.
I am running Eclipse java-2019-03. I forced Java to update to make sure I had the latest and greatest. Any other thoughts?
It is working now, think it was something at Garmins site. Before I had the same error messages.
