Users contacts

Some users contact me through "contact developer", when a user gives his mail I answer directly, but If I don t have mail I just clic on 'answer' to answer the user mail (that is wrapped in a Garmin mail).

Sometime the sender is [email protected] and sometime it is [email protected], is it normal?

Pretty sure any replies would go to dev/null but it would be great if they actually _did_ somehow get back to users...

I’ve tended to ignore any without reply addresses because of my hunch, but if it turns out I’m wrong I’d love to know about it.

The connectiqappadmin one is how you report a problem with the message (like spamming). noreply is what's there if the user didn't provide an email in contact developer. (to be used as "reply to")

the connect iq moble app doesn't make it clear that an email address even need to be included. See

I desagree, When I receive a message from 'contact developer', I receive a mail from [email protected],

case 1: the user has given the mail

-> when I clic on 'reply to', the receiver of the mail (my answer) is the user mail. OK

case 2: the user mail is unknown

->2.1 when I clic on 'reply to', the receiver was [email protected], and users received my answer within 24 h

->2.2 Since 2 or 3 weeks the receiver is noreply@garmin, and I am not sure users received my answer.

It may depend on if the message is being sent from the web site or the connect IQ mobile app.

If the reply to is "noreply@garmin", it basically goes no where and the no one sees it. If it goes to connectiqappadmin, it probably goes to a mailbox where it shouldn't go. In neither case will the user see it.

I receive between 5 to 20 of those per day... at this rate I will be elected worse dev of the year for ignoring my users

Seriously though it does help a little bit to add a text to the description of the app as long as you add it in caps, I've added this: WHEN USING CONTACT DEVELOPER ADD YOUR EMAIL ADDRESS OTHERWISE I CAN'T REPLY!

It allows to help about 1 in 3 people asking questions.... far from great, but better than none :)

I added a similar note as the very first sentence in my description. I think all it proves is nobody reads the description at all. I have got even more questions with no email address to be able to respond.
