3.1.x SDK Support line up with FW releases

I have an Edge 1030 and a Fenix 5X, which both have releae firmware that supports CIQ 3.1.

I can build for the Edge 1030, but cannot simulate for it.
I can simulate for the Fenix 5X, but cannot build for it.

Is there a timeline on when the SDK will be updated to line up with released device FW?

If you're not using any 3.1.x functionality, you can build for either with a 3.0 target. It will work on the devices. For the f5x, you can simulate with the f5x+, as things like fonts are the same as the f5x.

As far as a new SDK, I'd expect it fairly soon, but Garmin never announces dates.

I am using the 3.1.x functionality (BLE, specifically).

If I simulate with the 5X+ that's great, but I can't build an executable to load on to the 5X.
... or are you saying I can sideload a 5X+ build into a 5X and it will run.

Likewise, I can build an executable ot load on the 1030, but I can't simulate it to verify function.

Ok, there's a problem . While the f5x has CIQ 3.1.x, it doesn't support the BLE feature in CIQ.

Right, which is why my primary development platform is the 1030. I was hoping the 5X might be an alternate while waiting for the SDK to catch up to the 1030 FW (which was released a while ago).

Will BLE support be turned on for the 5X at some point?

Very doubtful. If it was capable, it would be there already.
