Unable to reply to notifications from my VA3

Just recently Ive been unable to respond to text notifications from my vivoactive 3, I still get the notifications to my device but I no longer have the option to reply anymore.

Has anyone else had this same issue and know how to fix it?
I have a Samsung Galaxy S9 phone and use Textra for my messaging app. Both textra and my garmin connect apps were updated within the last few weeks.
