Apps on ConnectIQ - release date

I apologize if this has already been addressed...but does anyone have an estimate as to when the apps section of ConnectIQ is going to go live?

I am patiently waiting for widgets, apps and some of the requested changes for watch faces to go live. Hopefully soon!!!

This has not yet been announced. I think it's safe for me to say that we do have a plan. :D Wish I could say more.... thanks for your patience!

I just got an update to the Garmin Connect app on my android. One of the new items..."Support for Connect IQ apps and widgets added."

Looks like the wait may be ending soon!

then you may want to start a thread requesting it. this thread is simply discussing the release date of app and widget functionality on Connect IQ.

FYI, it appears that the 3.03 firmware supports watch apps. I was able to build the PositionSample for my 920 and run it without problems. An IQ Apps activity type is listed, and it has a Test app in it that does nothing, plus the PositionSampler example that I side-loaded.

It doesn't appear so. But if you just need to test your widget, you can make it an app and open it via the IQ Apps menu.

Thanks Travis. I didn't notice it yet. Very happy to finally be able to test a widget I've been working on.

Yes, widgets too. If you ad a widget, you can use it by pressing UP from the watch face.
