Where is my private key located?

I had to reinstall windows from scratch. After installing everything, I get an error message during compilation that my private key could not be located.

Can I just generate a new one, or would that cause troubles? If so, where do I look for, what filename/extention/location in my backups?

What happened.

From https://developer.garmin.com/ I selected Connect IQ SDK to https://developer.garmin.com/connect-iq/overview/ and started from the button Get the SDK. Following instructions from that path on, there is no mention about the importance of the key generated with the Monkey C add on in Visual Studio Code, also not in the add on.

There is another path to installation if you don't click the button, but choose the 6th menu item ' Connect IQ Basics ' and go for the subitem ' Getting started '.

I really hope Garmin will pick up on this to prevent other disaster for paying developers and paying customers.
