Stupid complications questions

Hello,

Before I head down the path of complications, please verify:

1) It's not that drastic to convert/publish my Glance as an app

2) I can open my own app using a long press on an area of my compatible watch face

It looks a bit daunting from my amateur programmer seat.

See this thread where I posted one that uses a complication for heart rate on devices that support them. It build with the default type checking.

Your app need to run in some way to publish. Be that the glance view is called, the initial view is called, or the background runs. If the app is already installed and you install an update, you'll be good to go. Your looking for something that only occurs once the first time the app is installed.

I am looking to do something like you have done with your weather widget (but not for weather data). In your case, a watch face can subsribe to your weather data through complications, but i was wondering if your weather widget can publish data even though the user has not started your weather widget or your weather glance view.

As I've said it's got to have run at least one time. So it can register for temporal events if nothing more
