Settings not saved IQ store for my Vivoactive 4s. I tried with several widget settings and none of them seems to save the changes... Someone else has this problem?
Thanks!

Yes, I have it with my FR735. It doesn't matter if I use Connect IQ app or Connect Mobile. Only third party stuff is affected, not Garmin's stuff from the store. The support told me to delete the affected watchfaces, datafields etc. Well, then I would have to uninstall ALL! The OS of my phone is Android 8. Obviously these problems only occur on this version.
Wow, thank you for this, this is REALLY annoying. Have my Epix 2nd Gen now for just some days, and not one single Widget saves the settings, when pressing the according "save" button (well, "speichern" here in German). Is there someone out there, who already has a solution for this?
Thanks for any hints!
the garmin mobile app is known to corrupt settings. Once the settings are corrupted you can no longer save changes for the app in question.
The only workaround is to uninstall the watch face, then reinstall the watch face and redo your settings customization.
Hi Peter,
Thanks for your answer. Well, as good as the hardware and the software on the watch seem to be(!!), the connect iq is really a shame for Garmin!
Just tried your steps (even though I already did this several times already before), but it didn't help. Still the same. No chance to save settings, it doesn't matter which widget I'm trying!
I gave the connect iq app ALL access rights and disabled the battery save function of my Xiaomi phone already.
Any other ideas, how to solve this problem? Widgets are really useless like this!
BR Simon
Have you tried re-starting both your watch AND your phone. I regularly get contacts from people and this resolves the issue 99% of the time. Even though the watch and phone are connected and sync activities just fine, something goes wrong somewhere and settings to not save until a restart.
Same here. Turn off phone and watch at the same time and then turn them back on. That seems to resolve many problems users report with installing and changing settings.
Do you think that Garmin is doing the right thing by writing user troubleshooting instructions instead of making sure their software and hardware work smoothly?
I'm not Garmin. Just saying what I found helps.
Hi guys, finally I found out, how to answer here (have always been forwarded to the main website, when clicking on "answer").
I tried out your tipp, but it didn't help at all on my side. :-( But thanks so much for your hint anyway, highly appreciate this! Maybe some other ideas?
I can't comment on watches, but I once had the same problem on an Edge device. No setup change possible anymore. It turned out that the file system on the Edge was corrupt. You can detect and correct this with PCs by running the program chkdsk /f for the device drive. (With Mac I‘m not familiar…)
