I'd like the Garmin developers to clarify, how to use ne DataFieldAlert on the Edge devices. As I understand to work these alerts on Garmin watches you have to turn on the alert for each datafield-app. "in the activity menu -> Activity parameters -> Alarms -> Add New -> Connect IQ Data Fields -> "app name" -> Edit Settings".
I can't find the similar settings on my edge 830. As an datafield app I'm using the "SimpleDataField" from "Samples"-folder, that came with the newest SDK. My Device has newest Firmware 7.00, and I'm using SDK 3.2. and "has: showAlert" returns true. But still now alert is displayed. What am I missing?
