BLE scan does not find advertisements

Here's some code about using a 16 bit BLE, as well as some doc I found about using them.

This works in the sim and on real devices.

Another thing to keep in mind is if something is already paired in the firmware on a device, a scan might not show it on the same device.

Last I tried with something like an HRM-PRO, is even if it was paired with ANT, you couldn't see it with BLE

Jim, thanks for your important example. But it is a broadcast. When advertising, this device must be seen I think. I just tried to print all UUIDs scanned and service iIDs But not found. I have even tried changing the device type to LE only. Still. So weird.

Not if it's already paid with the Garmin....What type of device and is it paired?

It is a self-developed AR device to display the info from a data field sent with BLE. When advertising, it can be scanned by Android/iOS without connection and paired.  Similarly, Garmin would scan it. I think the problem may be the incompatible BLE protocol between our device and CIQ.

Understand that CIQ BLE is just a minimal implementation, and if you can't see something with blescan, you can't do an app that sees it either.

Sounds to me that your sensor isn't advertising in a way that CIQ sees it.  Maybe something like the flags advertising in a way that CIQ can't use it.  Contact the company that make your sensor to see if there are options you can try..

We have tried nearly everything configuration like a competitor's product. Jim，do you know how to set the Device type to LE Only？

I don't even know what kind of a device you are trying to use.

Compare something you can see with CIQ with something you can't to see the differences.  Things I can see raspberry pi based are "LE Only" in nRfConnect, for example
