Music Playlist Control App/Widget for Fenix 3?

I read that the Vivoactive has an app/widget that allows you to operate basic playlist controls (forward/backward/pause/etc.) on your phone from the watch face. As a runner who routinely has his phone strapped to his arm for music (and safety/emergency) reasons, I can see this being a handy function for those who want to skip around in their playlist while running.

I know that my iPhone headphones allow me limited back/fwd functionality with a "click", but it would be really nice to see a truncated version of your music playlist on your watch while running and be able to select songs for play, skip songs, etc. (understandably, you'd be switching back/forth between your "run" data screens and the screen for the app/widget)

I haven't seen the app on the Vivoactive, but as a new owner of the Fenix 3 (and loving it so far) I could see this as a potentially popular app/widget for those long runs.

fenix 3 device has music control widget integrated from the manufacture. You just need to enable it in menu "Settings -> Widgets -> Music Control"

Thanks very much - really happy to see that. Had gone running for the first time and could not find how to get to music control screen on Vivoactive. Long press does it.

i still want to have the volume control.
Have not yet been able to learn how to get this done (or to know if it's even possible)

With a companion app, I think it would be possible to write a ConnectIQ widget with music controls that added volume control. Unfortunately, this widget would not be accessible during native activities like the built in music controls are, so it may not add much value.

hi.... sorry to reply to an old thread. I can't get my music to play on my iOS device. Is it probable that apple music is the cause of this? i'm pretty sure they can do better than this. I mean if pebble managed why not garmin?

I am also looking for these. It seems that the music and ringtones will always go hand in hand.
