OREGON x50 Firmware v5.20 - NEU - 19.10.2011

Changes made from version 5.10 to 5.20:

- Fixed potential power-up issue introduced in previous release

IMPORTANT: if upgrading from a software version less than 4.80 you must follow these steps for future BaseCamp Compatibility:If you are a user of BaseCamp now, or plan to be in the future, you must follow these steps to ensure your data is protected during this software update:
1 Connect your handheld unit to a computer and launch BaseCamp. Transfer all tracks, routes and waypoints to BaseCamp.
2 Delete the /Garmin/GPX folder from the handheld's mass storage.
3 Update the handheld's software via WebUpdater and reboot the handheld.
4 Reconnect the handheld to a computer and transfer your data from BaseCamp back to the handheld.

WebUpdater Fehlermeldung
Bei der Kommunikation mit der Garmin Webseite ist ein Problem aufgetreten. Versuchen sie es später erneut oder wenden sie sich an den Support wenn die Probleme weiterhin auftreten.

Offensichtlich ist die Datei noch nicht oder unter einem anderen Pfad abgelegt da man sie auch nicht manuell laden kann?

Nö, der DL wurde scheinbar wieder vom Server genommen. Aber offenbar ist man am FW-Update dran. ;)

Mit dem Webupdater hat es funktioniert :) ,der direkte Download funktioniert noch nicht.

Der aus dem Startposting ist identisch. Bin mal gespannt, was sich noch alles getan hat. :eek:

Der Startvorgang geht jetzt wieder so schnell wie vorher.
Die Tracks, Caches usw. werden nur beim ersten Enschalten eingelesen, danach kommt der weiß/grüne Fortschrittsbalken welcher voher den Start lange verzögerte nicht mehr.

mein erster Eindruck ist, dass die bei der Version 5.10 von vielen Nutzern beobachteten langen Ladezeiten bei etwas umfangreicheren GPX-Datensammlungen so nicht mehr auftreten. Auf meinem 450t befinden sich ca. 1150 Wegepunkte und ca. 170 Tracks und auf der Speicherkarte mehrere größere Karten. Die Zeitspanne vom Einschalten bis zur Betriebsbereitschaft (Start der Satellitensuche) beträgt jetzt nur noch ca. 35 sec. gegenüber fast 3 Minuten bei der Version 5.10.
