Dear Garmin Community,
I have had several sports watches for running and cycling and one thing that has always appealed to me is the navigation options.Unfortunately, it's very difficult to get an overview of the information available, not least because of the many different models, so I'll just ask my questions here.
All in all, the Fenix 8 is simply too expensive for me and that's why I'm hoping for the most precise answers here in this sub-forum:
I know I can do course and track navigation on the Garmin Fenix / Epix and co. As well as select POIs and other things. Now it is often the case that some paths in the forest are not passable, or I decide to take a longer / shorter route, but the course should remain the same overall.
Question
Can the Garmin Fenix 7
- With predefined routes (koomot etc.)
- For point-to-point navigation
- Self-created routes on the watch
Dynamically adjust the route beyond only giving the off-track warning, keeping the former destination point(s).
Point to point would be sufficient for me. Turn-by-turn instructions would be helpful.
Can the Fenix 8 do more here (apart from round trip routing)?
Thank you, I hope to be able to clarify this question for myself once and for all.
And sorry when I missed older threads of this. I searched – Long and intense, but all the results were often slighty off the topic of rerouting.
