Fenix 7S - screen brightness setting very dark!

I've just received my watch today. I have spent hours trying to increase the screen brightness which is still very dark - colours are indistinguishable - even though I have set screen brightness and backlight to 100%. This cannot be the full screen brightness? Can someone please advise. I won't be keeping the watch if I cannot set the brightness to be more stand-out visible. I can hardly see the data on the screen!

You should look for an AMOLED watch if you need a display that is richer in contrast. But be aware that the battery consumption will be much higher on these.

The MIPS display, as used on the Fenix 7, is not comparable to AMOLED Screens uses on phones or Smartwatches.

Can you take a picture? Then we could tell you if this is normal.

Ok, thank you. If I compare my 100% brightness to the watch in the video I think I am at full brightness, no fault etc- but as they say in the video, it's very dark and colours are so dulled down it's hard to distinguish them. I don't think I will get used to that, my eyesight isn't great and full colour vibrancy makes all the difference in being able to see at a glance. So will probably return the watch. Such a shame (and a pain in the ass to return it!), I can see it has fantastic functions and capabilities but what's the point if the screen is so hard to see?!

If you like the Fenix, you could look for a Epix (this is a Fenix 7 with AMOLED screen) or a Fenix 8 AMOLED.
