Longevity of a Garmin Fenix watch

So I've had my Fenix 5X since August of 2017 and its been great overall. I've used it in countless runs and a good number of multi-night backpacking trips and the screen still is scratchless (sapphire screen) and the bezel has a couple wear-and-tear marks from use, nothing serious. I have had to replace the band once already because the holes in the wristband (im sure there is a technical name) wore down and broke, but the band was only a few bucks to replace from an amazon seller (3rd party, cant recall the name but its a common one ive seen recommended here in the sub). The software hasnt slowed down at all even with the updates (though there was one issue i had with EPO not updating, but I've attributed this to my connecting it to my work laptop and it encrypting the files, i've since stopped using that laptop), havent noticed any serious change in responsiveness of the maps either. I think it comes down to what you intend on using the watch for, but I really like my Fenix for day to day use. The "smart" features compare to the AW is limited, but that was something I knew going in.
